"Silk Road week" is a long-term annual international people to people and cultural exchange activity based on the achievements of human history and culture. It is created and led by the Chinese cultural heritage community, participated and implemented by all sectors of society, interacted with countries and regions along the Silk Road, sounded the Chinese voice in the international community and had a positive impact. It aims to hold high the banner of the Silk Road and follow the the Belt and Road network, Make efforts to build a community with a shared future for mankind.

Through the continuous holding of the "Silk Road week" in 2020 and 2021, the "Silk Road week" will form a basic model, which can be promoted to provinces, regions and countries along the Silk Road in the future. It will gradually promote UNESCO to recognize it as an international event, and select countries and regions along the Silk Road to jointly and continuously hold it.
