On June 22, 2014, at the 38th World Heritage conference, the "Silk Road: the road network of the initial Chang'an Tianshan corridor" jointly declared by China, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan was listed in the world heritage list. On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the success of the Silk Road's World Heritage Application on June 22, 2019, the relevant institutions jointly put forward the initiative on strengthening the dissemination and promotion of the spirit of the Silk Road in Hangzhou, China, and proposed that within a week of June 22 each year, a series of theme activities such as exhibitions, performances, reports, knowledge competitions and so on should be jointly planned and implemented in the heritage sites along the Silk Road and relevant cultural and Expo institutions, and widely disseminated through various channels around the world, Promote cross-cultural dialogue along the silk road. We will build a mechanism for cultural exchange and cooperation along the Silk Road, vigorously carry out research, protection and exhibition projects on the cultural heritage of the Silk Road, and intensify efforts to explore the connotation of the Silk Road, recognize its role, and protect its heritage. It is believed that through the implementation of a series of Silk Road themed activities, the impact and contribution of the Silk Road on the countries and regions along the Silk Road and the world civilization will be highlighted, the spirit of the silk road will be fully publicized, the stories of the silk road will be well told, and mutual learning among civilizations and the people will be increased.
