Currently, Professor Sim is more than the professor in Korean National University of Cultural Heritage (Buyeo, Korea). She also is appointed as special committee of Korean Cultural Properties Administration, director of the Institute of Traditional Textile Restoration, research associate of the Chinese centre For Textile Identification & Conservation at China National Silk Museum in Hangzhou, etc.

Master degree at Kookmin University. Seoul Korea in 1982. 
Doctoral degree at East china University(former the China Textile University), Shanghai in 1995.
