Research interests :
Focused on the textiles and cultural exchange along the Silk Roads, with interdisciplinary research on history of technology and art, mainly based on real materials from the archaeological excavations and ethnographic investigations. As the director of China National Silk Museum, I also work on the conservation of ancient textiles, the inheritance and innovation of traditional crafts, and museum studies.
