On May 18th, 2017, a celebration of theforty-first International Museum day, is held at Beijing, China.

It is worth mentioning that, InternationalMuseums Association of the Silk Roads is built up, jointly launched byCommunity of Chinese Museums along the Silk Road of China, InternationalAssociation for the Study of Silk Roads Textiles, and Museums with FriendlyAlliance along the Silk Road.

Dr. Zhao Feng, director of National SilkMuseum, China and chairman of International Association for the Study of SilkRoads Textiles, has signed on the initiative paper in the morning, with E Jun,director of Gansu Provincial Museum, Wang Bin,director of West Market Museum,director Mohamed of Pakistan Museum of Natural History, director Mabula ofNational Museum of Tanzania, and deputy director of Central State Museum ofKazakhstan.

In the afternoon, "InternationalCooperation among Museums under the Belt and the Road" seminar is held atthe Capital Museum, Beijing. Dr. Zhao Feng, makes a keynote speech entitled"from the Silk Roads to the World of Silks", expounding the historyof silks from the Silk Road, NSM’s works, and cooperation prospects in thefield of culturalrelics of the Silk Road.
