At the evening of 22 September 2016, thefirst annual meeting of International Association for the Study of Silk RoadTextiles (IASSRT) is held at Xinyou Archives, China National Silk Museum.

During the meeting, several issues areundertaken: bringing in new members, discussing the organization framework ofthe Association, discussing the work plans of the Association in 2017 and 2018,and reaching a consensus on China National Silk Museum's application for theCategory 2 Center of UNESCO-an International Center for Silk Heritage on theSilk Roads.
