（2015）Silk Textiles and the History of Silk in Indonesia

The paper will briefly show and discuss silk textiles made in Indonesia through a slide show, especially silks made on the islands of Sumatera, Java, Sulawesi and Bali, and the social, ceremonial and ritual functions they play in society. The paper will also describe in brief the history of silk in Indonesia, places of origin, silk centers and the future of silk in Indonesia .
